Founded by the South African government in 1951, the National Occupational Safety Association (NOSA) was created to address the urgent need for safer workplaces. At the time, the country recorded 4.1 fatalities and disabling injuries per 200,000 employee hours—a figure that fell dramatically to 1.1 within just 25 years.
More than seven decades on, NOSA—now known as SafetyCloud—continues to lead the field in occupational health, safety and environmental training. To date, we’ve partnered with over 20,000 organisations to strengthen safety cultures and foster healthier, happier workplaces.
