Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University is South Africa’s only dedicated health sciences university, with a clear and focused mandate to educate, train and develop health professionals who can respond effectively to the country’s health priorities. Located in Ga-Rankuwa, the university has its roots in a long tradition of medical and health sciences training and is strongly oriented towards public service and social responsibility.
